Cannabis Seeds Pennsylvania: Grow Marijuana & Weed at Home
Where to Buy Cannabis Seed in The Keystone State
If you are a happy toker like us and want to buy cannabis in Pennsylvania, there are a lot of dispensaries operating for registered medical patients and caregivers, however, recreational weed is prohibited here. As with much of the United States, the home of independence did not start out so opposed to our flowery friend. Hopefully, as the hearts and minds of our leaders begin to open and the voices of the many are finally heard, we will begin to see a spark of the fire of freedom, without fear of prosecution.
In recent years, especially throughout the onslaught of the pandemic crisis, Pennsylvanian leadership has been seriously considering full recreational legalization as a form of financial relief for the state. Aware that New York, New Jersey, and Canada to the north, are all getting hip to the herb and the tax revenues it generates, the government in Pennsylvania may jump on the cannabis bandwagon. This is great news, considering at the end of 2020 we were staring down the barrel of a mandatory prison sentence for possessing more than an ounce of weed. Even though weed laws have not legitimately changed since then, our leaders are witnessing police forces unwilling to charge anyone with weed crimes and a population demanding their elected representatives get their heads out of the sand and pay attention to what the people want. Marijuana legalization will increase state capital and will provide a welcome breath of fresh air to a bogged down legal system.
Originally, after the fall of indigenous populations in the area, the territory which would become Pennsylvania was claimed by the British and the Dutch, who had both sides of the Delaware River, respectively, for their colonial settlements. This is not to say that native populations of the area such as the Sioux, Algonquin, Cali, and others did not fight back. Indeed, they were ferocious in the defense of their way of life, scalping and skewering as many of the invaders as they could before their fall. Ensuing years would see Pennsylvania become one of the thirteen founding states and would be the second state to ratify the U.S. Constitution. In 1775, at the Pennsylvania State House, now known as Independence Hall, the Declaration of Independence was drawn up and signed by the Second Continental Congress. John Dickinson, who was the original penman for the declaration, worked with Congress in York to then draw the Articles of Confederation and later, the Constitution, which would name Philadelphia as the heart of America. A fun bit of trivia to toss around is that, because nearly half of the population of Pennsylvania was German, the Constitution was presented in German so that these populations could understand and take part in its operation. In the center of the state, the battle of Gettysburg would become one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, and George Washington would take charge from Valley Forge, just outside Philadelphia during the winter season or 1777-78. The dawn of the end of the Civil War would see a new state capitol built in ancient Roman style, and now the home of the U.S. Legislature, it would be praised for its magnificence well into the 20th century.
The 20th century would also see Pennsylvania change from an agricultural base to an industrial one. With the drilling of the first oil well in the U.S. and the ensuing boom of the early 20th century, this state would become a national leader in steel production, something for which it is still famous today. Other significant industries include coal, textiles, farming, and logging. Calvin Coolidge, president from 1923-1929, designated the Allegheny Watershed, not only for logging but as a protected watershed of the Allegheny River. This would remain throughout subsequent years and is now the only protected park in the state. This place is also home to an amazing GDP. It is said that, if Pennsylvania was its own country, it would have the 12th largest economy in the world. Unemployment rates still run high in a state boasting over 300,000 employer establishments and six fortune 500 companies. Heinz, GE Transportation, Hershey Chocolates, U.S. Steel, and PPG are all natives of this state, as well as, the New York Water Company, the oldest privately funded works company in the continental U.S.
So, there is a rich history of politics and war here, big business, lucky strikes, and general upward motion. What about geography? Pennsylvania borders several states, including Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, and the Canadian province of Ontario. Running straight through the center of the Keystone State is the Appalachian Mountain Range, which begins in Newfoundland, Canada, and runs right through to Alabama in the south. It shares 51 miles of coastline with Lake Erie, which is also shared with Ontario, and 57 miles of shoreline connected to the Delaware River. This parcel, one of the 13 original colonies, is the only one without direct access to the Atlantic Ocean. The diverse landscape in the state includes the Allegheny Plateau, originally protected by Calvin Coolidge, which is now one of the most protected tracts of land in America. Also making up this pocket of home are the Erie and Atlantic floodplains, Ridge and Valley, and Piedmont, a vast, stretching plateau at the foothills of the Appalachians. Beautiful wildlife, some of which has become endangered through man’s ever-advancing desires for riches and power call this state home. These include, but are not limited to wolves, bears, possums, deer, voles and mice, foxes, and some turtle species. There are 11 types of bats, including the rare and beautiful tri-colored microbat.
Because of the north-eastern locale of this great state, it is not the best place for growing cannabis, but folks have been getting away with it for generations, thanks to innovations like indoor cultivation and greenhouse techniques. Some great CBD and hemp products are produced here but it is simply not enough for the masses. It is hoped that Pennsylvanian governments will have more bright ideas in place before allowing neighboring states to earn many more of the big bucks from this state’s happy cannabis consumers. The majority of the Quaker State is considered humid-continental, which means that summers are hot and drippy and winters are cold and snowy. This is not the case everywhere and even those living in the majority of this state are capable of cultivating some great indicas, though they would need to be of the shorter or auto-flowering variety. The southern part of the Oil State is humid-subtropical, which means the weather here is a lot milder, less erratic, and more predictable. When cannabusinesses are planting out fields of greenhouses to produce for the masses, this is the type of place they would do the best, though they would have to battle up to 30 tornadoes per year. This section of tornado alley is not one of the most active but, with the Atlantic Ocean not too far away, the winds and weather coming off of Lake Erie, and the Appalachian systems stirring things up, you bet that Penn State sees some serious weather.
Higher education is encouraged in this state. The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) is a public university system operated by the state. It houses 14 state-owned schools, 4 state-related schools, and 15 publicly-funded colleges. Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania State University, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pittsburgh, though very prestigious schools located in PA, are part of the Association of American Universities and are invite-only. The University of Pennsylvania is the oldest place of higher education in America and is home to the country’s first medical school, still in operation today (pardon the pun). Students rank high in the national average and graduation from all school systems within the state of Pennsylvania average upwards of 90%. This is quite an accomplishment, considering there are states which do not enter our country’s graduation averages because of how low they are and how shoddy the school systems have turned out to be. Early and ongoing childhood education has benefited in neighboring states through the legalization of marijuana. For example, weed-friendly Colorado has seen a major improvement in healthcare, childcare, early childhood, and ongoing education, cultural access, and the arts. Pennsylvania Governor, Tom Wolf, is seeing green this year and with the coming ballots, there will likely be a major change, geared not only toward our love of the leaf but to our overall quality of life as well.
An area that has been hit hard throughout this pandemic crisis is that of our sports. The Philadelphia Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and 76’ers have had to tone it down. The Pittsburgh’s Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates have all had to give up playing in front of huge stadium crowds. This has been a major shift for millions of Americans because we are entrenched in our sports. Though issues between COVID-19 and the American population have only increased in weight and measure, sports have started to come back. Teams are generally playing to empty stadiums and fans are, little by little, able to sit back and watch a game. This has helped to boost morale and has provided a sense of normality to an insane world.
Sports are not the only arena of activity that has been hit hard here. Artists and musicians have not performed before a live audience. Small business owners and artisans of all types have suffered. Shops are closed, museums and galleries have become under-funded, and many have been forced to turn in the towel. We all feel the pinch of the pandemic and Penn state is no different. We wonder what native Pennsylvanian Grace Kelly would say about this situation if she were alive today. Also born here are Hollywood actress Sharon Stone, and Steve Martin, leader of MENSA. Taylor Swift also calls PA home, along with the late Kobe Bryant, a famous L.A. Laker, Stan The Man Musial, Noam Chomsky, Dennis Miller, Seth Green, and the ever-lovely Billie Holiday, just to name a few.
With rich history rife with war and politics, amazing museums, arts, and culture, boasting many stars, and much well-to-do, the Independence State is no slouch. Agriculture still stands here, but it has fallen off a bit since the dawn of the industrial and technological revolutions. As far as weed goes, the state is separated into 6 sectors, each allotted 2 cultivation permits, and several retail dispensary permits. Cannabis flowers, as we know and love them, are not allowed here in any form, production, processing, distribution, sale, or otherwise. Nobody is allowed to grow anything with THC in it, so those medical patients who have finally been granted access to flowers must go to neighboring states to get it. This is one of the major problems and questions facing PA leadership. We are all ready, we want our flower and we want it now! When it is legal to cultivate your own weed, you do not have to worry about trying to find seeds in shops or in trade. Kind Seed Co is an American-based distributor of all the best weed seeds for sale online. We find American breeders pumping out the best of the best and we hand-select the cream of the crop. We deal exclusively within the United States and are proud to do so, especially given the economic downturn we have all been seeing nationwide. Let us get out there and grow, people. Smoking marijuana is illegal here but there are many outlets for us pot people and, as we can see, the tides are changing for all Americans.
Smoking Marijuana Recreationally in Pennsylvania
There are some seriously stellar weeds out there like wedding cake strain. Who would not want to grow some Gorilla Glue, Girl Scout Cookies Extreme, and Big Bud? Medical marijuana is legal in the form of tinctures, oils, topicals, and vaping. Anything under 30 grams of flowers has been almost decriminalized since the cops refuse to do anything about it, but we are still a long way off where being able to light up a joint goes. Unlike Washington and Oregon, there is no privacy law here, so if you are caught at home, the same penalties apply to you as though you were standing on the corner of Independence and Main.
Being caught with under 30 grams is only a misdemeanor here but it may still equal 30 days in the clink and a $500 fine for any unlucky individual who is convicted. If you are busted with more than 30 grams here, you may be looking at 1 year in jail and a fine of up to $5000. First-time offenders are often offered conditional release, namely the attendance of a rehabilitation facility, which may seem laughable to some, and any marijuana conviction will see a loss of one’s driver’s license. Subsequent charges may see the doubling of maximum penalties, making it truly difficult to succeed in life in general if you are busted for pot in PA. As previously mentioned, there are a few municipalities within which policing forces have outright refused to bust anyone for smaller marijuana crimes. These sensible employees obviously see that the benefits of letting these people go far outweigh the benefits of sending them up the river.
Pennsylvania: How Much Weed Can You Have On You?
Laws around marijauna are in a constant state of change and flux throughout all of the states and PA is no different. Since there is no recreational marijuana allowed here, not a single one of us happy tokers are allowed to roam free with our flowers. However, medical patients and caregivers are granted certain freedoms, and some of them have it pretty good. Many qualifying conditions make for eligibility into PA’s medical marijuana program and it is not too hard to get in.
Patients and caregivers are allowed to purchase and possess a 30-day supply, as ordered by their physician and outlined in their MMP agreement. Recently, smokable dried flowers have been made legal for patients to purchase but not smoke. For this, they require the newly-legal vaporizer, another expense that may not be covered under their medical plan. Since there is no legally smokable flower available within the state of Pennsylvania, patients must traverse the open road to neighboring states to get a bag of weed. This is one of the many ridiculous laws which our friend and Governor Tom Wolf is attempting to change. Thank you, Tom Wolf.
The Quaker State and Marijuana Cultivation
Cultivation of marijuana of any kind is a felony here, punishable by a mandatory minimum of 2.5-5 years and a $15,000 fine and suspension of one’s driver’s license. Does this sound insane to you? Well, it does to us as well, but that does not mean that it is okay to try to get away with it. Although cops may not bust you for a bag of grass, you had better believe that they will bust a grower.
We support people growing their own medicine and this is probably the first area which will see some relaxing of laws. It has been a very long time since U.S. citizens had laws that made much sense. A child can own a gun, as long as that child’s guardian or parent signs for it and takes responsibility, but suffering medicinal patients have to go to the next state over to get medicine. Our government asks its citizens to fight nonsensical wars then cuts them off from the one medication which will help with PTSD.
But there are some folks growing weed. Every section of this state has given out 2 cultivation licenses to mass-growers to supply portions of this state’s medical communities. These are not THC weeds, but there is much therapeutic potential to be found in CBD. Far too few people are aware of the potential medicinal uses of CBD. The wondrous powers of this holistic plant come without nasty side effects. CBD can work towards pain mitigation and a better quality of life, so much so that people who have been bed-ridden or who can barely function because of pain and tremors can make moves toward some semblance of a life.
Despite strict marijuana laws, we are still allowed to collect all the beans we like. You might as well buy marijuana seeds, collect marijuana seeds, save, store and preserve your favorite strains of marijuana seeds because someday this place will make sense and we will be allowed to grow again!

Is it Legal to Buy Weed Seeds in The Coal State?
Hunting for the right cannabis seeds for sale should not be a stressful experience. If you are wondering if you are allowed to have seeds in a place where a single plant could land you in jail for up to 5 years, do not worry, weed seeds are legal in America.
Laws around possession, use, distribution, and cultivation are pretty harsh here, though things are changing, slowly but surely. First to enjoy the freedom of home horticulture may be our medicinal patients. No matter who you are, you are allowed to collect cannabis seeds and Kind Seed Co has all the best seeds of all the best strains to be found anywhere in America.
Medical Cannabis in Pennsylvania
Independence is an important word in this state and we are all familiar with just how much more our medical communities can gain through the regular and responsible use of sweet mary jane. Though this state is very hard-nosed concerning cannabis, medical patients have had the freedom to use it legally here since 2016, though the first legal sales did not occur until 2018, and cultivation and THC remain prohibited.
Thanks to Governor Tom Wolf and Senate Bill 3, medicinal communities are allowed to purchase and possess their own medicines. You are allowed to purchase and carry up to a 30-day supply and are permitted to trade within medical communities. You are not, however, allowed to smoke a joint, and THC weed will land you in trouble.
To some, this does not make much sense. To have partial laws for some and jail-time for others is not the way of a balanced system. Historians, anthropologists, and social scientists have all argued the efficacy of a system that capitalizes on pain and denotes pleasure as something to be feared, something primal, something illegal.
For the day when we are allowed to grow our own, Kind Seed Co has a variety of cbd seeds that can be used as an alternative medical treatment for a variety of health issues.
Buy Feminized Photo Weed Seeds and Feminized Auto Pot Seed in The Coal State
When you set out to pick up some top-shelf weed seeds, it helps to know that there are a few different types of seeds, so you can be sure you are getting just what you want.
Feminized seeds have been bred without male influence and therefore possess no male genes. This is accomplished through early applications of colloidal silver which stress a female plant into producing pollen. When used on a seed crop, this pollen helps to create feminized seeds, or seeds free of male genetics. For any grower, this ensures an all-female crop nearly all the time. For photoperiod fans out there, this means no more training for a couple of months just to find out that there are a few males in the bunch. With feminized photoperiod beans, there is no worry, no contest, so you are free to grow and train with no fear of it all being a waste of time. This is a major benefit to those home-growers who are only allowed to have a handful of plants.
So feminized seeds make it easy to parent a copse of chronic plants, but what about autoflower seeds? Autoflowering seeds are developed through taking whatever your favorite strain is and crossing it with ruderalis, a variety of cannabis that flowers out of maturity rather than a shift in photoperiod. These plants tend to be smaller and more compact, but they are generally faster and deliver every bit of the weed that any photoperiod strain can produce. These plants pack easily into a tent or a corner of a room and make a lovely addition to any garden and, where beginners are concerned, these creatures make great starter projects since they require a little less care than your average bear.
Buy Natural Cannabis Seeds in Pennsylvania
We also have regular marijuana seeds for sale. There are some purists out there who prefer to grow au naturel, without any fancy additions to their flora’s genes. Those who like to play mad-scientist also need these natural seeds to make all the wonderful and exciting strains we get to grow and enjoy.
There are a few other reasons you may want to get yourself some regular seeds. These beans, aside from sprouting both sexes, are pure representations of the parent strains and are generally a little stronger and a little healthier, albeit a little less resistant to pests, diseases and molds. All in, these seeds are the way to go for home-growers who want a pure experience, the mass-cultivator who wants to develop another phenotype and to make a new mother for future cloning, and for those breeders who are looking for that great strain needed to give roots to a new experiment.
Kind Seed Co has all the regular seeds anyone could need. We also supply bulk orders, so all those times you looked for seeds and realized you were out will never have to happen again.

Pennsylvanians want their flower freedom as well! In the meantime, there is no law against starting a collection of the world’s finest seeds. Judicial District Seats of Pennsylvania
Masses of marijauana are waiting to be grown in this state. It all depends in large part on the onboard idea which must be taken up by some major municipalities throughout the state.
Eastern municipalities of Allentown, Easton, Reading, and Philadelphia must be on board. Middle, Coal, and Appalachian towns of Harrisburg, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and Williamsport must see a rise in solidarity, and the western plots of Erie, Johnstown, and Pittsburgh, though Pitt. is pretty on board, must all come together. A vote in favor of letting go of old ideas, getting out of our own way, and releasing the power of the pot for all to use and enjoy is a way to embrace the future. This flower is an incredible medicine to all who experience her magic. This leaf has been utilized since the dawn of the early human animal and, with the coming year, we hope that all municipalities will speak up against old-world oppression and help free the flower!
Most Popular Pennsylvania Cities to Grow Weed
There is absolutely zero tolerance for cannabis cultivation of any kind in this state, so it is a bit tough on the cannabisseurs out there. There are some places that, once legislators take a crack at making some dough for this state, will most likely be first up to bat, as far as legalizing cultivation goes.
Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, is a place booming with pot potential and is a town that, once things start to take a turn for the better, will most likely be on the leading edge of flower freedom in the Coal State.
There is also a lot going on in Pittsburgh. Home to much art, culture, and historical significance, the only thing missing is legal weed. Places like this, rife with sports, museums, galleries, eateries, and entertainment, beg to be enjoyed with one’s own home-grown.
Known for its parks, Allentown is not only rich in cultural history but boasts some of the most beautifully manicured and majestic public places anywhere in the state. People enjoy getting out and about with their weed, especially those medicinal patients who are finally enjoying some freedom through the use of marijuana. With all these hiking and biking trails here, there is no shortage of nice days out to be had.
Winning the All-American City Award in 1972 is thankfully not all Erie is known for. Flagship City, nestled on the south shore of Lake Erie, is a treasure trove of manufacture, engineering, healthcare, technology, and education. With so much to go for, so many ideals applauded, this place is ready for some escalated horticulture as well.
Reading, Pretzel City, is just about halfway between Philly and Harrisburg and is the transportation hub of the region. Sitting in the middle of two such prominent townships means that this place could not only be the pretzel capital of America, but it could also grow some great green here, all packaged up and ready for transport to any of the dispensaries throughout the state.

Last, but certainly not least, is Haze XL Autoflower, an indica-dominant monster, ready to take hold of any user who has the guts to go the distance. Because of her Haze lineage, this plant takes a bit longer to flower than most varieties, around 12 weeks. What you get at the end of your cultivation journey with this strain are buds built of some of the sweetest sativa to be found anywhere.
