How Are Marijuana Seeds Made?

Cannabis plants, by their very nature, share many aspects of their life-cycles, their chemical makeups, their diets and their mating habits with humans. That doesn’t mean that breeding cannabis plants needs an explicit content warning; what it does mean is that, in order to make seeds, certain forms of male and female systems must merge.

Mother Nature knows how to make this happen naturally. When the male plant is mature, he sprouts bunches of beautiful white flowers, packed with pollen. When females mature, they produce the calyx, from which sprout long, sticky tendrils called pistils. These pop up all over the plant and, those female plants which have flowered at the right time, may catch the pollen from the male and become fertilized. As her flowers mature, so do the seeds born of the blending and, come the onset of fall, the seeds burst forth, or they are carried away by birds. These seeds will sprout in the spring or, in warmer climates, where we find our sativas, there may be a natural perpetual harvest.

In controlled environments, where it is imperative that males and females remain separated, breeders act as the wind, collecting the pollen from healthy males and applying it to healthy females. This way, they are able to breed only the specimens with the characteristics they are looking for, thus creating fantastic new strains. There is one other means by which we may obtain seeds from our plants, but we will revisit that in just a minute.

How Do We Test For Seed Viability?

When choosing your cannabis seeds, there are a few basic principles which are fundamental in trusting the process. If you follow these simple guidelines, you should never have to worry about your seeds’ viability.

Never trust a bagseed: A lot of effort goes into growing great green. So much so that to waste months of training, feeding, watering and hopefully flowering on something you aren’t sure of, makes little sense. Marijuana is tricky and, if we just go off willy-nilly, we may never learn how to fully appreciate these plants and what they can do for us.

Research your strains: Good seeds are expensive and, of course, growing them is too. If you take your time and do some research to find the right combination of strains to suit your lifestyle, then you are much better off. This principle of learning all we can before diving into practical application will save you time, energy, and money, and it just makes sense.

Choose the right genetics: Once you have found appropriate strains, talked about them among your cannabis communities and are satisfied enough to move forward. Finding the distributor with the right genetics is paramount. Too many times have we seen consumers get excited to start a grow, they do everything right, but in the end, they come up with nothing. Do not miss this message: choose the right genetics.

If you follow these simple guidelines, there is no reason for you to ever worry about viability; however, sometimes we get excited and want to plant what we find. Try soaking these seeds in a small cup of water overnight. Those seeds which have made their way to the bottom, you can be sure, are at least hydrated enough to try. Separate these and place them in some basic potting soil and, in a few days, if they haven’t popped, they are probably not going to.

What Are The Signs Of A Spoiled Or Damaged Seed?

There are many signs of damaged seed, some of which are visible and some of which are not. There are some marijuana seed started kits out there which arrive complete and ready to go. Nine times out of ten, the seeds contained within have either dried out, have been damaged in transport or are nowhere near the genetic quality required for success.

Aside from the obvious crushed seed, damage can also come from too little humidity for the seed to remain viable, though they only need 10-20%, which is very low, and they can keep for a long time. If you tried the towel method and nothing happened, it could be that there was a bit too much moisture and the seed rotted, which can also happen with soaking if you are not careful. The same thing can happen if you direct sow and provide too much water. The seed becomes waterlogged, the roots don’t form and the seed dies. Another beginner’s soil mistake is to plant them too deep. These beans should only be planted a quarter of an inch or to your first knuckle, max, and given only a few drops of water!

If you can find no visible damage, you know the seeds were not dried out, and you are certain that you have performed your germination strategy correctly, genetics is the only thing left. Maybe they were harvested too early or too late, but the genetics in them are incapable of providing the information that seed needs to grow. This is why we reiterate the importance of finding the right distributor.

Pot should be fun and it sucks that there are some seriously bummer genes out there. We know this and we get it. We have had experience with this, which is why Kind Seed Co is dedicated to providing the highest quality seeds we can find, so you can grow great green, every time.

Intro To Regular Seeds

Regular or natural seeds are those which are genetically pure (not to be confused with genetically strong or sound) and represent the way nature intended growing and breeding to be. Growers like them for their purity while breeders utilize them in making new strains.

Throughout the vegetative phase of cannabis, we get to take care of our plants’ health and wellness, its training and its environment. Once they hit a certain level of maturity or the blooming period, which is called pre-flower, males and females show their true colors, putting out calyxes and pistils. At this point, growers need to remove the males to insure against fertilization, and to allow the females to grow those huge colas we love. When we deny the female plant her pollen, flowers become swollen and covered in pistils. The energy which would have gone into seed production goes to the flower which in turn contributes to massive yields of fat, seed-free super-dank buds.

Breeding is a different story. Once the males are detected, they are quarantined and only the strongest examples will be allowed to continue. Once these boys pop, the pollen is collected, labelled, catalogued and stored. When the breeders find a new combo they’d like to try, they can either use stored pollen or new pollen on a female plant of the combining strain, thus producing hybrid seeds which can then be cultivated.

A ‘mother’ is grown and clones are taken. These clones will be grown to maturity to see which one shows the strongest promise and subsequent clones will be taken off of that one in order to continue cultivating the new strain.

Introduction To Feminized Seeds

Remember how we said we would revisit where seeds come from? Well, Feminized Cannabis Seeds are the one exception to the age-old male and female language of love. We say this because they are made using only females and therefore possess only minute traces of male DNA. Because of this, worry over males in one’s crop becomes a non-issue.

In order to create feminized seeds, a female plant must be heavily soaked, foliage and all, in colloidal silver or silver thiosulphate. You can make this at home by attaching a silver ring or pendant to a battery and placing it in a container of water. In a few hours, that water will have become silver-infused and is ready to use on your plants.

What happens is that the female’s growth hormones are shocked by this application and will, upon the onset of pre-flower, put out both male and female parts. Though this sounds familiar, this girl is not a true hermaphrodite, which is a symptom of shock and confusion, is a natural side-effect of containing both male and female genes and is common with mistreated regular seeds. No, this girl has produced female pollen which, when used to fertilize for seed, will produce an all-female seed, nearly all the time.

So, you don’t have to worry about your feminized hemp seed starts. There is enough evidence out there now that we can safely say that the chances of sprouting a male out of a professionally feminized seed is next to zero.

Autoflower Seeds Intro

Weed never ceases to amaze. Flourishing in all corners of the globe since time immemorial, these plants have found certain climatic pockets, perfect for their ongoing health and reproduction. We are all aware of indica, sativa and that they like the mountains and the sun, respectively, but there is one unlikely little plant which is fairly new to the scene.

Ruderalis is a small and compact creature, found thriving in Siberia, of all places, and which, due to an incredibly short season with little light, adapted to flower out of maturity rather than photoperiod. Crossing this little plant with any other will, in most cases, produce an autoflowering version of that favored strain.

Caring for these little lovelies is relatively simple, and their yields, though they tend to be a bit smaller than photoperiod strains, are just as juicy. Autoflowering cannabis strains generally begin to pre-flower at the 4-week mark and flower for another 6-8 weeks. Though longer flowering times have been observed, such as in pure sativa varieties of autoflower, even these are somewhat reduced, making for a faster payoff. Also, because they flower on their own, autoflowering plants do not require the usual flip to a 12 on/12 off lighting schedule and it is recommended that they be run on an 18 on/6 off schedule throughout the duration.

Feeding these plants is not so different from feeding any photo-show, it’s just a bit tighter. Making a super-soil and direct-sowing is important because autoflowers don’t like to be transplanted. Feed with vegging and flowering teas and top-dressings and boost with CalMag+ and all should be well.

Training these plants is important to a healthy yield and under no circumstances should you ever top an autoflower. Because it is on its own schedule, reaching maturity in just a couple weeks, it will not have the time necessary to heal, wasting energy which would otherwise be spent growing. Perform low-stress training (LST) techniques, spreading the plant out, and tying it down, allowing light to penetrate each node, and you will see success.

Intro To CBD Strain Seeds

Of all the active cannabinoids in marijuana, CBD has been shown to be a true miracle molecule. Since medical marijuana was first legalized for epilepsy and glaucoma, dozens more afflictions have been added to the list within states all across the country.

Studies have shown that this curious chemical is capable of blasting away not only pain and headaches and can address issues of anxiety and PTSD, but in large doses it effectively disrupts the neurochemical process which triggers seizures, tremors and muscle spasms. When certain terpenes are present in combination with CBD, anti-tumor properties are born, even halting the growth of certain types of cancer cells.

As a matter of fact, the terpenes present in weed bring masses of health benefits, as well as those wonderful flavours and fragrances. Most of them contain antifungal, antibacterial, antibiotic, anxiolytic, antidepressant and anti-microbial properties, just to name a few. These reasons are precisely why humans have been utilizing this magical medicine for millennia.

We have plenty of High CBD Seeds available for our medicinal friends. Understanding that there is no one medication, no one exercise, no one conversation which can heal it all, we offer something for everyone. With strains ranging from 1:1, for those who aren’t into getting too stoned, but need to function, all the way up to 25:1, for a nice ride with your meds.

THCv seeds are also available. THCv (Tetrahydrocannabivarin) is an active cannabinoid, cousin to THC and found in trace amounts in many African sativa strains. Though THCv levels are generally low, marijuana scientists and breeders are looking more deeply into this cannabinoid to assist with bone-growth and development and to assist in insulin uptake. It may also be helpful as an anticonvulsant and anxiolytic.

Extreme THC Seeds Introduction

Breeders have done some seriously amazing things for the world of weed. Not only do they deliver some of the most unlikely and wacky strains out there, but have also designed and perfected some seriously high-THC monsters, capable of flattening users of all experience levels. These weeds make a great base for the production of extracts and super-charged edibles and through Kind Seed Co, these strains are now available all across America.

Extraction has become a huge industry in America. Rosin-pressing, butane extraction, oil and hash have all been popular but, as weed becomes more and more legal, there is a growing demand for strains which are well-suited to these methods of use and enjoyment.

In recent years, studies have also been directed toward further understanding CBG (cannabigerol), an anti-inflammatory which strengthens through the process of decarboxylation, the heating of weed in order to activate cannabinoids and make edibles stronger. Your cbg hemp seed starts are going to become more THC and CBD-strengthened the better care you take of them, so it’s important to stay on top of your crop’s health.

What Are High Yield Weed Seeds?

Growing Weed Seeds can be a fun and rewarding experience. There is literally no limit to the number of strains out there and, even if you grew a new one each time you chopped the last, no one could get through them all in a lifetime. Ganja has grown alongside the human animal since pre-recorded history. We have always shared this glorious gem with those around us, loved to plant our faces in a bag and breathe in as deeply as possible and, when we see a glowing sea of glistening colas staring back at us, we all turn to butter.

You may be aware that there are strains designed for quality and there are strains designed for quantity. Though the former is what you see when you look up the most expensive weed in the world or hardest-hitting strain, there are some strains out there which will outweigh any and all competitors, the buds of which are so sticky, tasty and powerful.

Top 5 Advantages Of Growing Your Weed From Seed

When attempting to come up with just five advantages to growing from seed, we have had our work cut out. Not only are seeds naturally disease-free, but they are also much stronger, much less expensive and less risky to transport, and they can last for years if stored properly. Here we will take a look at the top 5 reasons why you may want to sprout a seed.

  1. Naturally Disease-Free: Seeds are completely devoid of anything but the inherent proteins and information necessary to sprout and flourish, containing nothing of the diseases which even the parent plant may have faced. Plants sprouted from seed are also much more resistant to disease later-on.
  2. Taproots: Whereas clones are a simple way to keep a phenotype going, they are simple clippings and have no real source of strength. Seeds contain taproots, which anchor the plant, push the drive for growth and nutrient uptake and are capable of adaptation in stressful conditions.
  3. More Space: Though clones are easy, they require rooms of mothers to be kept, timed and catalogued. This is a big job and planting seeds of a favored strain can save time, energy and heaps of space which could better go to growing.
  4. Regeneration: Whereas it takes a special hand to make a clone, lots of space and lots of patience, we can all make our own seeds and even feminization can be simpler than taking clones.
  5. Longevity: There is no question as to whether or not you can keep seeds longer than clones. You can carry every one of your favorite strains with you all over the world in a simple film-case.

Common Seed Germination Problems

Your cannabis seed start is the first important process of successful cultivation. Though it sounds like it should be easy to just sprout a seed – and to some extent it is – there are always going to be unforeseen obstacles and some of them may cause irreversible damage.

Too much or too little moisture in your best marijuana seed starter can have negative effects. Too much moisture and you may rot your seeds before they have had a chance; too little and the seed is deprived of the humidity necessary for germination.

Too much power output on your marijuana seed germination light may also cause problems. Intense lights are ill-advised in seedling cultivation because, not only are the cotyledons incapable of photosynthesizing strong light, but the light intensity itself may burn the sprout and, by that time, it is too late.

Marijuana seeds like to be near the surface, so planting them deeper than a quarter inch, or to your first knuckle, may suffocate them. This is a common problem with a common fix. Simply make a small divot or round in the soil and drop your seed on top. sprinkle enough soil around the seed that it has a humid environment but is still visible.

Long and lanky seedlings, drooping over and barely putting out a leaf may mean that the light intensity is not sufficient for healthy growth. Once your sprout has put out its first set of true iconic fan leaves, it is ready for the grow room and should bush-out nicely with a little more light.

If your seedlings simply sprout then wither and die, chances are you have a fungus issue within the soil. In this case, all that’s necessary is to build a new starter and try again. Another reason why a sprout may simply die without warning is too many nutrients in the soil. If this is the case, simply compost existing soil and make a new, less-potent seed starter.

How To Care For A Cannabis Seedling

If you have your seed starting soil dialed-in and you have stayed away from any off-the-shelf seed starter kit, you probably have your seed starting trays ready to go, resting nicely on a seed starter mat and have discovered the best way to start seeds. It is also crucial that your seedlings have access to a breeze because this assists in strengthening the base, the roots and the plant on the whole.

The seedling is an incredibly important stage in the lifecycle of a marijuana plant and to ensure the health of this little sprout is to ensure you have the best start moving forward. You will want to keep the soil medium moist but never overwater or you may kill the seedling right away. Once your seedling shows its first set of photosynthesizing leaves, it is considered to be in the vegging phase, but is not out of the woods yet. The next force you need to introduce is light. If you have a dimmer, this is very beneficial and newer LED systems generally come equipped with one. Place your seedling under 50% power at 3-feet away and over the next couple days, you will notice it start to grow.

Now, we have talked about never feeding a seedling: this is imperative. However, once the little lovely shows signs of health and strong growth, it may be time to give a medium dose of balanced feed. We check to first ensure our plant is hungry and this can be found in the lowest leaves. If they are starting to curl a bit and show early signs of yellowing, this means she’s hungry. We always promote organics here at Weed Seeds, so a 4-4-4 or 5-5-5 will be good to start with and, over the next few days, your plant should start to darken up and rampant growth should ensue.

If you have made it this far, congratulations, you have parented a seedling through its first stages of life and the plant is now in the vegetative phase. Now is the time to start to turn the lights up and begin training.

What Nutrients Do I Need To Give My Cannabis Seedlings?

As a general rule, you never feed a seedling. But this is not entirely accurate as soil, by its very nature, has some nutrients in it and soil is the primary growing medium for professional organizations all over the world.

Seedlings need very little, but they do need something and, as long as there is a bit of nitrogen, such as worm castings, and some trace elements, such as calcium and magnesium, that seedling is going to be happy with just a few drops of pure water.

How To Start Seeds Indoors

Learning how to start marijuana seeds is not as complicated as one might think. There are a number of different methods and, with most of them, anyone can see success.

Direct sowing works well for most strains of cannabis, as long as the soil they spend their first week or so in is not too rich in nutrients. Layer your container the way you would with a vegging transplant but instead of filling the container with your vegging mix, replace the top few inches with a seed start mix or a low-nutrient, high porosity blend. This way, your seedlings won’t get burned by the vegging blend, but will have it available by the time they need it.

Another seed-starting material many professional growers swear by is Rockwool. This rock-based mineral fibre is actually a soundproofing insulation but has been adapted for use in greenhouses and grow rooms everywhere. These little cubes are delicate so you must take care not to squish them as, once crushed, they will continue to compact.

Peat pucks are another base from which to start your seeds. Simply place the pucks in the seedling tray, add water and, as the pucks absorb the fluid, they expand. Once you have expanded your pucks, place a seed in the top, cover and maintain as usual.

It is important to maintain temperatures between 71 and 78 Fahrenheit and rH levels of 70-80% for seedlings until they sprout their first true set of leaves. As the seed-casing opens and the sprout emerges, two little green ears called cotyledons become the first photosynthesizing parts of the plant. These are not true leaves, but are intrinsic to the seed and provide the boost necessary to put out the first two iconic fan leaves.

It is important to know that not all lights for indoor cannabis growing are suitable for seedlings because they require lower light in order to get a good start. A table lamp is even enough for a seedling, but once your little plant puts out its first two fan leaves, it’s time to give her to the world.

When To Start Seeds Indoors

Depending on where you live in this world, when to start seeds can be a tricky question to answer. In the Pacific Northwest, we start after the last frost and are ready for transplant outside by the time the temperature is consistently above 65 degrees. This ensures that the plants are not going to freeze, that their roots will be warm enough to grab the soil and that the plants will actually grow. As far as marijuana seed germination temperature goes, it needs to be warm with fresh air and top-lighting to let the sprout know where to go. Use your basic seed mix and sprout in 70F with an ambient humidity of 70-75%. This is imperative, especially for indoor growing. If you plan on moving them outside, then all you need to be sure of is that the seedlings and subsequent vegging plants are not experiencing too much shock. This means, as always, temperature, moisture, humidity and light management are all important.

If you are growing photoperiod strains, we recommend sprouting your seeds outside using a heat mat or warming tray. That way you can be sure that the roots are getting the warmth they require, in the wild, while the ambient temperatures of spring are still a bit cool. When sprouting in this manner, there will be little risk of confusing your plants, they will grow more naturally and there will be decreased risk of hermaphroditism.

Selecting The Right Soil For Seedlings

Throughout history, many dedicated growers have contributed much knowledge, much know-how and have conveyed much beneficial experience so that those new to the scene need only to focus on the basics. But what are the basics and how do we get there?

Seedlings need only a few things in order to thrive: oxygen, water and a healthy medium to thrive in. Oxygen is key in plant health. In the natural world, things like large pieces of organic matter, stones, sand and worms, create avenues for air to reach the microlife in the soil. This needs to be there if container life is going to produce happy plants. Water moistens the medium, provides a basis of the microlife to process nutrients and makes for a semi-humid environment for the roots so that they can interact effectively with the life present in the soil. Nutrients are important and must be present because these are what the plant and the microlife will feed on, thus creating a healthy overall structure. Nutrients are broken down into three categories.

Macronutrients include nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). A good seedling soil has these three in low and balanced proportions; Micro-nutrients include calcium, magnesium and sulphur and are necessary to the plant’s ability to uptake macronutrients. Trace Elements like zinc, boron, chlorine, manganese, and others are responsible for providing ongoing support in the form of natural minerals and elements essential to the health of all organisms, including humans.

If your soil has these three main factors in place in the right proportions, you have the medium necessary for life to flourish. Generally, potting soil with some basic nutrients in it mixed with some dry amendments, perlite, vermiculite, coir and peat, compost and worm-castings and boosted using mycorrhizae and rainwater is great. Compost this mixture for a couple of weeks, turning regularly, and you’ve got a great supersoil for your vegging plants. Be sure that your seedlings are strong enough for this mixture; generally, if the root structure is strong and there is prolific growth, they will be safe for transplant. Try one and give it a couple days, see what happens. If they wither, maybe the mix is too strong and you need to cut it with more straight potting soil.

Just have fun, don’t give your plants too much water and do not give your seedlings any food until they show signs that they are hungry. This will keep them growing strong.

How To Start Seeds In A Paper Towel

Regardless of the ongoing debates over what the best way to sprout a seed is, for generations, home cannabis cultivators have been employing what is known as the paper towel method and, due to much success, we will here discuss the ins and outs of utilizing this technique in order to sprout your seeds. In preparation, you will need a plate, a paper towel, some water and your seeds.

First, place some water in the bottom of your plate. Fold your paper towel in half and place it on the water. The towel should be wet but not soggy and, if it is still a bit dry, simply sprinkle some more water over it until it is evenly moist. Place your seeds on top of one half of the paper towel and fold the other side of the towel over your seeds. What you are trying to do is create a humid atmosphere while ensuring that the seeds can still breathe. If the towel looks a bit dry on top, sprinkle a little water on it, but again, just enough so that the whole thing is moist without being dripping wet. At this point, some people swear by placing a bowl upside down over it, or sliding the whole thing into a plastic bag, leaving the end open. We do not suggest this, as, more often than not, the lack of airflow will rot your seeds before they have had a chance to pop. Like we said, the point here is to create a humid but breathable atmosphere so that your seeds remain viable.

If you are sure that your seeds have a moist atmosphere and are not drenched and can still breathe, place this plate in a dark cupboard or some place away from light; in nature, there is no light under the soil. Check your seeds every day to ensure that there is sufficient moisture. You never want that towel to dry out. After a couple of days, you may see that the seed has cracked open and that there is a tiny little white spike poking out. This is your taproot, the main feeder root of the plant, and it means you have achieved successful germination.

Some people will wait until that root is elongated a little but the longer you wait, the less chance your seed has to be healthy. We suggest that, as soon as you see that the seed has cracked and that the taproot is showing, to place that seed, root down, into your starter mix. Tips When Growing Cannabis From Seed

The Home of Weed Seeds in the USA has a few tips, tricks and ideas when talking seedlings and starts. The use of a seed starting heat mat may up your chances after having chosen or built the best seed starting mix. These can be silent heroes in cooler climates or in the throes of early Spring, when you are starting plants to be put outside in a couple weeks. In nature, the root-systems of plants generate heat. As all plants which start in the wild are assisted by the CAC (cation exchange capacity) and the warmth of surrounding organisms’ roots, the heat mat simulates this warming by heating the soil from the bottom up. What this does is provide the new roots with the ambient temperature necessary to grow strong.

Another tip when growing cannabis from seed is to make sure that you do not overwater. Too many times we have seen overzealous gardeners think that the soil needs to be wet in order for the seed to germinate and for the roots to grow. In ganja growing, nothing could be further from the truth and overwatering could rot the seed before it starts, stunt growth, cause fungal infections and kill the plant before it has a chance. You want to add just enough water around the seed site, not directly on it, that your little seed is pushed to search for it. Once your seed sprouts and the soil is completely dry, water again, this time a little further out. This will force growth, ultimately making for a stronger start.

Seedlings need a high-humidity environment, so placing a bubble or plastic tent over them, ensuring that the walls are far enough away that they will not interfere with the seedling’s early growth. These environments are a dangerous place for a young start so, as soon as that sprout has put out its second set of photosynthesizing leaves, take that tent off and start giving it some air.

DIY Seed Starting Mixes

As with any plant you are attempting to grow from seed, finding the right cannabis seed starter soil is paramount. Though there are numerous pre-made blends all advertising that they are the best, a good diy seed starter means that you have full control over what nutrients your little seedling is going to get. This is important because seedlings can’t handle a lot of nutrients and will most likely burn to death in a living organic mix, so keep it simple.

Starting with a good, non-sterilized potting soil is a good bet. Mix in 20% more perlite or pumice and add an equal amount of worm-castings and an equal amount of high-quality organic compost, either your own or store bought. Let this mix sit to compost for about a week, turning it every couple of days. You want to make sure that this blend isn’t going to hold too much water and that it is aerated enough by either pumice or perlite or both, that there is plenty of oxygen for your seeds to breathe. The worm castings should add just enough nitrogen for the seedlings to get the start they need, while offering a number of trace elements which assist in giving your little plant a strong start. The compost is rich in a number of micro-macro and trace nutrients, but at these ratios it isn’t so strong as to injure your start.

Really, you want your seeds to have the very basic necessities because, as seedlings, they really only need air and water passing freely through a mildly nutritive medium. This way, the roots grow strong in search of food and water and this makes for a worry-free transplant into the vegging container and the nutrient-rich soil within.

Faqs About Growing Marijuana

As legislation changes all over the country and more and more citizens are exposed to a drug which, just a couple years ago and, still in some places, their own governments were telling them was a dangerous and harmful chemical, creating dependence and generating mass acts of violence all over the world, there are a few questions.

Is marijuana safe for breastfeeding mothers?

Evidence that marijuana is detectable in the system for up to a month and that certain cannabinoids bind to fat cells and are released over time points to the idea that new mothers ought to steer clear. However, because human biochemistry is rife with cannabinoid systems and endo-cannabinoid receptors, it stands to reason that, later on in human development, we benefit from them – just not as babies.

Can I become addicted to marijuana?

The short answer is: yes. approximately 1 in 10 adults regularly exposed to marijuana will, with ongoing or ‘chronic’ use, become addicted to the plant. Withdrawal in these cases presents as aggravation, frustration, short-temperedness, and mild apathy. It should be noted here that the drugs that medicinal marijuana is replacing more every day have led to more deaths due to overdose in the past decade than all previous years combined. No one has ever died or will ever die as a direct result of marijuana use.
