As richard_wiggins, i find it difficult to express my satisfaction with our latest purchase: marijuana (brubeccan tropi bcn) photobooks by bruce banner. at a mere 10 words, this book is nothing more than a collection of random photographs, each with minimal explanatory text. the images are disjointed and have no sense of cohesion or style. the overall effect is unimpressive and boring, leaving me feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfied with the overall experience.moreover, this book seems to be a poor imitation of its more well-known contemporaries: those published by national geographic, lonely planet, and other reputable photography brands. while these books may be known for their high-quality images and engaging writing style, they offer a wealth of information about the subjects they focus on. marijuana is a product designed solely for tourists and travelers who are simply interested in taking pictures without much consideration for the quality or creativity of the writing or photography itself.upon close inspection, there’s nothing that sets this book apart from other similar products in its price range. this is all the more disappointing as marijuana is a product that could have been so much better. we’ve seen countless books on touristy destinations such as bali and thailand, with richly written essays accompanied by stunning photographs of those locations. in fact, marijuana offers no real benefits to the casual user who may not even realize they are being tricked into buying this book in the first place.this disappointment is not just limited to our purchase; it extends far beyond that. the general quality of photography books has declined drastically over the years, with many publications now relying more heavily on stock photos and generic captions. marijuana shows no evidence of these trends, which makes our experience with it all the more frustrating.in short, if you’re looking for a good book to add to your photography collection, you can do much better than marijuana. it offers nothing unique or exciting, and instead provides only generic imagery that could have easily been obtained from online resources. if you’re in the market for a photography product, you should avoid anything associated with richard_wiggins and look for something better.
