This landrace sativa from the South has been making a comeback over the last couple years. If you smoked weed in the 60’s, 70’s or early 80’s, chances are you came across a Thai Stick. Generally, this weed was considered ‘poor man’s weed’ and was usually pretty weak and dry. Some committed breeders have worked over the past couple decades to bring her back and give her a name. Recommended as a novice weed, her 17% THC level doesn’t hit too hard and her spicy chocolate coffee flavours make her an easy intro for beginners. Cannalope Haze is our number two and another super tasty strain. Where Chocolate Thai drops off in the THC department, this sour strain picks it right back up with a count of around 20%. Though this strain contains very little indica (less than 5%), some users are hit so hard that they are instantly put to sleep. Others are uplifted and energized and attest to it being a great weed for a busy day. It’s hard to say for sure how anyone will react until you try it for yourself. Any way you slice her effects, her distinct sweet melon flavors and spicy aromas are the sweetness in the cake. Fresh buds smell of rich coffee and chocolate which, when ground, fills the air with the scent of a thick mocha. Put flame to flower and the fragrance deepens with rich spice. On the inhale, those chocolate coffee flavors are enhanced and, on the exhale, tokers are left with a smooth vanilla citrus aftertaste.
