Outdoor Wedding Cake does well in a sunny, humid, and warm environment. As always, protect your plants from rain and frost. Prune your lower branches and watch for any signs of rot, which is one of the few ailments this tough critter can succumb to. If you keep your soil nutrient rich, you can expect four to five hundred grams per seven foot tall plant. It will be ready for harvesting in late September to early October in the northern hemisphere.
Indoors, Wedding Cake likes a little humidity, even lighting that might require a reflective surface, and a temperature no lower than seventy degrees Fahrenheit. A Sea of Green technique is suggested for here. The Sea of Green technique forces the early flowering of many small indoor plants in uniform conditions, doing away with the sometimes-troublesome light access issues associated with supporting the growth of larger plants. This is a double-boon for growers because plants flower earlier and their buds have equal access to light and nutrients which increases production. Indoor Wedding Cake does great in either hydroponic medium or organic soil. It flowers for seven to ten weeks and produces around an ounce per square foot.

10 of 10 Blue Ice beans popped, one plant died for no good reason at around 5 weeks but I cloned it hoping to get some babies, the clones are having a tough time rooting but I think they will make it.The 9 survivors are very hardy although this breed does seem to be very sensitive to too much nutrients.They’re going into the bud room in 10 days, I will keep you updated.One question: Do your seeds come from established breeders (Barneys Farm, Soma, etc.)or are they all proprietary breeds from your own greenhouses?I only ask because I’m a big believer in knowing the back crosses and lineage to what I put in my garden.
