Isopropyl alcohol is highly flammable. Before you open a bottle:

• Work outdoors or in a space with strong, continuous ventilation
• No open flames, pilot lights, cigarettes, sparking tools, or hot plates nearby during soak or evaporation
• Wear gloves and safety glasses
• Keep kids, pets, and curious roommates out of the workspace
• Have a plan to stop and leave the area if fumes build up

If you cannot ventilate well, do not run this process indoors. Solvent cheerleading has no place here — airflow and fire safety come first.

4. Strain immediately. Pour through cheesecloth or a strainer into a clean container. Squeeze gently if needed, then discard the plant material per your local rules.
5. Move to evaporate. Pour the liquid into a flat glass dish so surface area is high and evaporation is even.

Evaporation, collection, drying

Set the dish in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. Evaporation can take hours to a few days depending on volume, temperature, and airflow. Do not speed it with open flame or a kitchen burner.

When the solvent is gone and the residue is no longer wet or sharp-smelling of alcohol, scrape the film into a collection container. Let it finish drying until it is stable — sticky wet scrapes are not ready for storage.

If anything still smells strongly of alcohol, keep airing it. You want resin, not leftover solvent.

Storage

Store fully dried ISO hash in an airtight container, cool and dark. Freezing can work if you prevent condensation when the container warms up — moisture on cold hash is the enemy.

Label the jar with the date and starting strain if you care about tracking what you liked. Potency and yield vary with starting flower; there is no single number that fits every batch.

Clues of a cleaner wash: lighter color, less harsh chlorophyll taste, residue that dried fully without a solvent bite.
